Job Description



This role is responsible for conducting site inspections, troubleshooting engineering issues, and providing technical recommendations to enhance construction efficiency and quality. The Airside Field Engineer will be expected to review design plans, assist with submittals, and track work progress to support successful project completion. Candidates should have experience in airside construction, pavement engineering, drainage systems, and airfield electrical installations

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot construction issues in airfield projects.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA AC 150/5370-10G for construction quality.
  • Assist with technical documentation, submittals, and RFIs to support project execution.
  • Work closely with QA/QC inspectors, construction managers, and safety officers to enforce project quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, airport authorities, and engineering consultants to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project schedules
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of airside engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of FAA pavement design and NAVAID installation.
  • Familiarity with FAA AC 150/5370-10G, airport grading, and airfield safety requirements.
  • Proficiency construction management software is preferred.

Additional Information



The salary range for this full-time role is $90K-$140k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and
