Job Title: Armed Security Guard
Job Type: Full-Time
Duties:
Conduct patrols of Anzalduas Dam and surrounding areas, ensuring the safety and security of USIBWC assets, staff, and visitors.
Enforce access control by monitoring and securing entrances to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas.
Operate surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, and fire alarms, responding to incidents and unusual activities as necessary.
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and civil disturbances following established protocols and notifying appropriate authorities.
Perform regular inspections of security equipment, weapons, and other duty gear to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Document all patrols, incidents, and observations in detailed shift reports and daily logs.
Provide assistance during public events, emergency evacuations, and visitor interactions as required.
Requirements: :
High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
Must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization and at least 18 years of age.
Possess Level III Commissioned Security Officer certification in Texas and a valid firearms certification.
Ability to patrol various environments, including outdoor areas, buildings, and near water structures.
Strong observational skills with the ability to detect and address potential security risks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with USIBWC staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
Physical fitness to perform duties, including patrolling on foot, standing for extended periods, and responding quickly to emergencies.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
