Job Description

Supervises all phases of asphalt plant operations:

• Maintenance of plant, plant employees, production and distribution of product.
• Hires and provides direction, training and assistance to a plant crew.
• Perform necessary maintenance on plant equipment.
• Communicates with Area Manager or Superintendent to discuss schedule and production needs.
• Assists in implementation of cost control measures to meet budgetary requirements.
• Takes measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew performance.
• Maintains time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing.
• Ensures quality of the product and collaborates with quality control manager.
• Maintains company policy.
• Implements environmental, health and safety regulations and policies.

The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending as well as periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds.

• Full time + hours; must be able to work overtime hours.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when and if required.
• Must have a valid Georgia's driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Familiar with and able to operate company vehicles and equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years in asphalt industry.
