Our client, one of the oldest and most respected law firms in San Antonio, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its reputable team. With a legacy of excellence, the firm offers a collaborative work environment and a diverse legal practice spanning oil & gas law, real property transactions and disputes, estate planning and probate, business law, and civil litigation .

The Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to clients across a variety of practice areas. The role involves a balance of litigation and transactional work, offering exposure to a wide range of complex legal matters. This position requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is eager to grow their legal career under the mentorship of seasoned attorneys.

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in matters involving real property, oil & gas, estate planning and probate, and business law

• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, wills, and transactional agreements

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and reports

• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions

• Manage case files and maintain accurate records of client communications and case developments

• Negotiate on behalf of clients in both transactional and litigation contexts

• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure timely, effective resolution of legal matters

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Active membership in the Texas State Bar

• 1 3 years of legal experience preferred (open to newly licensed attorneys with strong internships or clerkships)

• Experience or strong interest in any of the following areas: property law, estates and probate, oil & gas law, business law, and civil litigation

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities

• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines
