Our client, one of the oldest and most respected law firms in San Antonio, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its reputable team. Role SummaryThe Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to clients across a variety of practice areas. The role involves a balance of litigation and transactional work, offering exposure to a wide range of complex legal matters. This position requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is eager to grow their legal career under the mentorship of seasoned attorneys.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice and representation to clients in matters involving real property, oil & gas, estate planning and probate, and business law
Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, wills, and transactional agreements
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and reports
Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of client communications and case developments
Negotiate on behalf of clients in both transactional and litigation contexts
Collaborate with other attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure timely, effective resolution of legal matters
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active membership in the Texas State Bar
1 3 years of legal experience preferred (open to newly licensed attorneys with strong internships or clerkships)
Experience or strong interest in any of the following areas: property law, estates and probate, oil & gas law, business law, and civil litigation
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines
