Our ideal au pair is someone who will love and care for our girls as if they were their own. Since we will have a newborn, we are looking for someone who has experience with infants. Our needs will change during the year as we welcome our new daughter in March 2025, so we are looking for someone who can be flexible with their schedule. I expect it to look something like this: Dec - Mar: watch Violet on evenings and weekends. Occasionally, daytime will be needed when she is out of Montessori school. Mar - May: assist Crystal with the baby overnight from approximately 10 pm - 6 am (4 nights/week), until baby is sleeping through the night, with some nights and weekends spent with Violet. June - ongoing: watch Violet and the baby during the day, with some nights and weekends. We believe it is very important to focus on the kids and other child-related tasks while working and would not want someone to be spending that time on their phone or watching TV. We have a furnished basement that you can call home while staying with us. It is about 1,000 square feet with a TV, couch, bed, table, refrigerator, stovetop, and gym equipment that includes a treadmill, elliptical, free weights, and a pilates reformer machine. There are several college campuses near us to choose from when taking your courses. You will be able to use our car most nights and weekends to make getting around a little bit easier for you.
