OyBar in Studio City is looking for an experienced Bar Manager or Lead Bartender to join our team!

Recently named to Eater's 38 Essential Los Angeles Restaurants, OyBar features modern bar/bistro food served in a 1970s vintage neighborhood bar. Our beverage and cocktails program celebrates the comfort and familiarity of the neighborhood bar through the global lens of LA.   Our food is rooted in our Chef's Jewish-American traditions and inspired by his love the cultural and culinary diversity of Los Angeles. Loved by Infatuation, the LA Times, Eater, and more - OyBar is an innovative and welcoming environment for staff and patrons alike. • 7 years experience in the food service industry at least with
• 5 years experience behind a bar
• Multitask between food and cocktails
• Work in small team setting with a positive and mutually supportive attitude
• Open to training and learning new techniques to better suit the space
• Cocktail/bar program curation
• Track and control inventory
• Understand costing and pricing of cocktails including ingredients and required labor 
• Advanced understanding of spirits/wine/beer
• Wine knowledge preferred
• Comfortability training new bar staff
• Flexible hours including on call availability
• Passion for providing hospitality above all for guests
• Be able to communicate with guests while not lowering the pace of work or focus
• Be able to adapt to a changing menu of cocktails and food
• Switch between bartending and serving if the shift calls for it
• Move and change heavy beer kegs with help
• Pour beer pints properly
• Open wine bottles
• Pour wine
• Use jiggers, measure and shake cocktails
• Serve food at the bar and assist in table service and bussing/setup 
• Make cordials and syrups if needed

The environment is fast paced in an active neighborhood.
Be prepared to talk and meet regulars and create new ones.
