Job Description

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF RECENT EXPERIENCE AS A BOX TRUCK DRIVER

Connect Staffing is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver to join our team in Waco, TX!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm (Occasional OT)

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years of recent experience as a Box Truck Driver
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to use different machinery
  • Prior experience in roles such as Box Truck Driver, Delivery Driver, Route Driver, Local Truck Driver, Non-CDL Driver, Straight Truck Driver, or Truck Driver Class C is a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Dual job responsibility working in the factory and acting as the backup driver
  • Set up and operate machines that cut foam blocks into specific shapes and sizes for production.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of machinery, making adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.
  • Verify the quality and consistency of foam materials before and during the cutting process, ensuring they meet required specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, pressure, temperature) to accommodate different foam types or product requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any operational issues or malfunctions with machines to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products for defects to ensure they meet quality standards before use in production.
