Key job responsibilities
* Design, implementation and delivery of analytic solutions supporting Amazon MGM Studios corporate organizations
* Earn the trust of customers and stakeholders by understanding their needs and solving problems with technology
* Data gathering/manipulation, modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights
* Actively manage task timelines, communicate with stakeholders, and represent the team on initiatives
A day in the life
* Design and build interactive dashboards relying on large, diverse datasets
* Engage with stakeholders, product management, project management and cross-functional teams to communicate project execution and delivery
* Develop innovative data analytics solutions using commercial and proprietary technologies
* Collaborate with engineering peers on optimized data flows and data models
About the team
The Studios Data Insights team operates a robust platform bringing data together from all phases of the content lifecycle: from pre-greenlight, through development, production and post-release performance analyses. We harness the value of massive and varied data stores to support predictive models, financial workflows, production optimization efforts - and much more.
Every day we ingest terabytes of data from dozens of data sources so security, scalability and automation are of paramount importance in everything we do.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience writing complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
