STRONG PREFERENCE FOR CURRENT/FORMER UPS STORE EXPERIENCE Candidates with UPS Store background will receive priority consideration and may qualify for higher starting compensation Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Center Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our new The UPS Store franchise in San Antonio. The ideal candidate brings current or recent UPS Store management experience and deep familiarity with UPS Store systems, procedures, and culture. You will be ultimately accountable for profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development. Key Responsibilities Personnel Management
  • Performs personnel management including recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates
  • Schedules work assignments and facilitates weekly or monthly staff meetings
  • Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions
  • Reviews daily employee timesheets and submits for payroll processing
  • Build a positive team environment focused on world-class customer service to all customers
  • Motivate team to optimize performance
Financial Accountability
  • Full accountability for Center profit/loss
  • Manages Center financials and prepares/provides reporting
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to franchise owner
  • Monitor cost control and expenses
  • Manage cash handling, daily deposits, and register audits
  • Set and achieve revenue targets through business development
Operations Excellence
  • Open and close the center, ensuring all procedures are followed
  • Monitor, evaluate and maximize customer service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Manage Pack and Ship Services, Mailbox Services, Print Services, Freight Services, Notary Services, Document Shredding, and Passport Photos
  • Manages inventory
  • Oversees Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization
  • Develops and implements the store marketing program
  • Ensure compliance with all UPS Store operational requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Previous store management experience required, including personnel and financial management experience
  • 2 years retail operations experience
  • High school diploma or GED required (post high school education preferred)
  • Bona fide management/leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
  • Outstanding phone skills
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week including Saturdays
  • Physical ability to perform this job (lifting 50+ lbs, bending, standing for extended periods)
  • Dynamic personality with ability to motivate a team to optimize performance
  • Must know how to "listen and lead"
  • Willing to accept full accountability for Center operations
Strongly Preferred Qualifications * CURRENT OR RECENT UPS STORE EXPERIENCE (HIGHEST PRIORITY) * Specific UPS Store skills we value:
  • Experience with UPS Store POS and CMS systems
  • Knowledge of UPS/FedEx/USPS shipping software and regulations
  • Familiarity with iShip, Mailbox Manager, or current UPS Store platforms
  • Understanding of UPS Store franchise operational standards
  • Experience with UPS Store marketing programs and business development
  • P&L experience preferred
  • Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school desired
  • Previous experience at comparable operations (FedEx Office, PostalAnnex+) considered
