Job Description

Responsible for campus public safety services as directed on assigned shift.

  • High school diploma or GED required, with some college preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age at time of hire with a minimum of (1) one year police or security experience.  BA/BS in criminal justice or related field may substitute one (1) year of experience.  Military experience may substitute  (1) one year of police or security experience.
  • A clean driving record (4 points or less) required with no major violations within the past 5 years and no more than (1) one serious violation or (2) two moving violations within the past (3) three years.
  • Candidates required to successfully pass a background investigation, to include fingerprint, polygraph examination, criminal history evaluation and physical agility test that fulfills the requirements of the CCBC Public Safety Academy. Candidates required to successfully completing a pre-hire, post-offer physical examination, including drug screening.
  • Must possess the abilities and skills necessary to meet qualifications for appointment as a Maryland Special Police Officer.
