Job Description

We're seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for a dedicated healthcare team. This role is ideal for a dynamic physician with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and a vision for improving healthcare access and outcomes.

As the CMO, you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to guide medical teams, enhance patient care strategies, and drive clinical excellence. You will lead a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurse practitioners, while playing a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare services.

What You'll Do
Serve as the clinical spokesperson, advocating for quality healthcare and guiding the strategic vision.
Provide medical leadership to ensure high standards of care, safety, and patient-centered practices.
Work collaboratively with senior leadership on population health initiatives, utilization management, and clinician engagement.
Support and lead efforts to maintain Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) development.
Oversee electronic health records (EHR) systems to optimize efficiency and patient care.
Participate in direct patient consultations, including medical history evaluations, physical exams, lab testing, and treatment planning.
Provide continuity of care for patients with long-term conditions and ensure appropriate referrals.
Perform medical procedures and health maintenance visits, including immunizations and screenings.
Maintain compliance with all credentialing and privileging requirements.
Attend industry seminars, training sessions, and in-service programs to stay current with healthcare trends.
Travel to different locations as needed and be available for occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
What You Bring
MD or DO license to practice in Massachusetts.
DEA and State Controlled Substance certification.
At least three years of leadership experience, preferably in a public health or community clinic setting.
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is preferred.
Experience as a Medical Director or leadership in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Strong strategic planning and supervisory skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and operational strategies effectively.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
