This posting is for multiple openings of Child Life Specialist at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA. We offer day and/or variable shifts for supplemental/on-call and/or full-time opportunities.

The Child Life Specialist plans and implements a Child Life program which is focused upon the emotional and developmental needs of the hospitalized child, adolescent, and family. S/he works with members of the medical, nursing, social service, Chaplaincy, and Volunteer Services staff to provide a comprehensive and integrated range of therapeutic activities.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Recreational Therapy, or Elementary Education

• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
