Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on substation projects, focusing on structural analysis and foundation design. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MAT, PIER, and drilled shaft foundation designs and will utilize RISA software for analysis.
Responsibilities
Conduct substation equipment foundation analysis and design.
Perform take-offs for structures.
Design oil containment systems.
Design fire walls using concrete or masonry.
Develop structural bus arrangements.
Create substation layout designs.
Analyze and design MAT foundations, pier foundations, and drilled shaft foundations.
Coordinate design documents.
Collaborate with substation and related equipment teams.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years experience in utilities, specifically in substation projects.
Proficient in structural analysis for substation projects.
Strong understanding of equipment foundation design, including MAT, PIER, and drilled shaft.
Experience with RISA software.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
EIT or PE certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in industrial backgrounds such as pipe racking, oil and gas, or other industrial projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and RAM software.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in the office. The remaining two days can be worked remotely from home. The office environment includes a personal cubicle space. For candidates with longer commutes, there is an option to stay overnight in a hotel during the week. Join a supportive team including two drafters to collaborate and hand off work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.90 - $72.11/hr.
