Salary: $90k-$120k + Performance Bonus (Willing to pay more for the right candidate)

Position Overview:
Our client seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join their team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs. This role requires strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and vendors to develop competitive bids. The ideal candidate has a background in construction estimating, specifically in commercial roofing, and a thorough understanding of industry standards and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects, taking into account labor, materials, equipment, and time.
  • Project Assessment: Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine the scope and requirements for roofing installations, repairs, or replacements.
  • Bid Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes, verify costs, and ensure that all project components are accounted for in the estimate.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits as needed to assess the condition of roofs, measure areas, and identify any potential issues or obstacles.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements, answer questions, and present estimates in a professional manner.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project costs for reference and reporting purposes.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze historical data, labor rates, and market conditions to maintain competitive and profitable estimates.
  • Compliance: Ensure that estimates align with industry standards, company policies, and relevant building codes.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal roofing, etc.) and building codes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., The EDGE, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex project documents, specifications, and architectural plans.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in calculations and a methodical approach to ensuring comprehensive estimates.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
  • Certifications: Roofing or construction-related certifications (e.g., RRO, RRC) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, NRCA Roofing Certifications, or PMP.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
