Seeking a Safety Manager with OSHA 500 for a long term opportunity in Reno, NV!

$35 - $40/hr plus OT! $90/day per diem (for days worked) 

In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and implementing safety improvement initiatives, creating a safe work environment for all employees!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment
• Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
• Prepare reports on safety performance and present findings to management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Must hold OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500
  3+ years’ recent experience in the construction environment where 100% of position's day-to-day job functions entailed safety, health, and/or environmental protection.
• Bilingual (english/spanish) is preferred!
