  • Job Location : Novi, MI
  • Duration : 12 Months to begin with
  • Experience : Level – 5+ Years
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain CAD data files, ensuring accurate version control and data consistency across projects.
    • Administer PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and integrate CAD data workflows with engineering change management processes.
    • Establish and enforce CAD data standards, best practices, and naming conventions across the organization.
    • Coordinate with design, engineering, and IT teams to ensure secure data storage, access, and sharing of CAD files.
    • Monitor CAD vaults, servers, and databases to ensure performance, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
    • Support data migration, system upgrades, and implementation of new CAD/PLM tools.
    • Provide user training and support for CAD and PLM systems to design and engineering teams.
    • Assist in BOM (Bill of Materials) generation and ensure CAD data accuracy for manufacturing and procurement use.
    • Troubleshoot CAD-related issues and serve as a liaison between design engineers and system administrators.
    • Collaborate with external suppliers and partners to manage data exchange formats and compatibility requirements.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in CAD data management in an engineering or product development environment.
    • Strong working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Enovia, Windchill).
    • Familiarity with configuration management, version control, and release workflows.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with scripting or automation tools to improve CAD data workflows.
    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure related to CAD/PLM systems.
    • Exposure to ISO/ASME standards and quality management systems.
