Director of Emergency Services

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Salary:  115,000– 145,000/year (based on experience) + 15% Annual Bonus (performance-based)
Relocation Assistance: Available (case by case)

Join Our Leadership Team – Lead a High-Performing Emergency Department!

We are seeking an experienced  Director of Emergency Services  to oversee our 34-bed Emergency Department  (130+ patients/day). This is a key leadership role for a strategic, results-driven nursing leader who excels in  operational excellence, staff development, and patient care innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Inspire: Oversee daily operations of a 45+ FTE team , ensuring top-tier patient care and regulatory compliance.

• Drive Performance: Improve ED metrics (throughput, patient satisfaction, quality outcomes) and implement best practices.

• Develop Talent: Mentor, coach, and retain high-performing staff in a fast-paced acute care setting.

• Enhance Patient Experience: Lead patient/employee rounding and service excellence initiatives.

• Optimize Resources: Manage budgets, staffing, and workflows to maximize efficiency.

• Collaborate Strategically: Partner with C-suite, physicians, and cross-functional leaders to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  Licensure/Certifications:

• Active RN license (FL or compact)

• BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC (required)

  Experience:

• 3-5+ years as an Emergency Department Director (acute care setting)

• Proven success in  improving ED metrics, staff development, and operational efficiency

  Education:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required

• Master’s (MSN, MBA, MHA) preferred
