Position Mission

Are you a financial leader with a passion for the Great Commission? FOCUS is seeking a strategic Finance Director to drive the scalability and growth of the mission. In this crucial role, you'll lead financial operations, from budgeting to forecasting, and develop a high-performing finance team. You'll play a pivotal part in optimizing our funding model and collaborating with senior leaders to align financial strategies with organizational objectives. Success in this role requires strong analytical acumen, proactive communication, and a heart for mission-driven work.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead Daily Operations: Direct daily financial activities such as reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the financial health of the organization.
• Team Management: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of operational excellence, professional development, and mission zeal.
• Optimize Funding Model: Innovate and refine our funding strategy to enhance financial sustainability and expand the apostolate.
• Finance Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to key internal leaders, ensuring financial strategies are fully integrated with organizational goals.
• Strategic Oversight: Drive strategic financial initiatives that bolster long-term organizational success.

Qualifications

• Mission-aligned with a desire to serve in a Catholic apostolate
• Proven financial leadership experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate financial data for non-financial audiences
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $180,000/year . This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
