We identify, engage, and recruit exceptional early career professionals in our industry to support our global business. The Emerging Talent team supervises university relations and our global internship and new graduate programs. By connecting emerging professionals with career development opportunities, our team impacts hiring and diversity initiatives at Akamai.

Partner with the best

Manage the internship recruitment lifecycle from launch to offer and onboarding. Partnering with universities, you'll recruit technical and nontechnical talent for our co-op and intern programs in North America. You'll also collaborate with our global team to support day-to-day program operations and deliver exciting events for students. Our team also engages in online branding and collaborative project work where you can make an impact.

This is a 6-month contract position starting in November 2025. This role is remote-friendly but does require you be in person in Cambridge 2-4 times monthly.

As an Emerging Talent Recruiter, you will be responsible for:

  • Full-cycle recruitment to include: sourcing, interviewing, debriefs and offer negotiation.
  • Planning, attending, and executing programming for interns and co-ops both virtual and onsite in Cambridge.
  • Establishing meaningful partnerships with hiring teams to quickly assess business needs and launch a thorough hiring strategy.
  • Building and maintaining effective candidate relationships across countries in North America.
  • Administering the US co-op program including performance reviews, orientations, and merchandise management.
  • Collaborating regularly with global Emerging Talent team on group projects.
  • Documenting internal processes and procedures, maintaining internal web pages and recruiting tools

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 0-3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • Show exceptional communication skills ability to handle discussions with tact and diplomacy on a global team.
  • Have prior experience planning or leading events
  • Show an ability to multitask in a busy, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate customer service and consulting skills with all levels of stakeholders in the recruiting process.
