Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Facilities Associate.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 - $30.60 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
**What you'll do:**
**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**
Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles; CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for an Facilities Associate. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
+ Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property.
+ Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof.
+ Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools.
+ Assist in the setup of events and install/take-down décor.
+ Support the site with employee moves, shipping and receiving, and other related tasks.
+ Conduct routine office maintenance including mounting TV's, whiteboards, workstations, assembling office furniture.
+ Embody and support Eaton's Environmental, Health, and Safety policy.
+ Perform work with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines (including OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment.
+ Assist with emergency planning and response in coordination with management and facilities team.
+ Provide assistance and interact with all employees as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution.
+ Minimum of 2 years hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
+ This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with health and safety plans and policies.
+ Use of and training for scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, boom & scissor lifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection equipment.
+ Support with emergency response crews in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water.
+ Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R), concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade
+ Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
