Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Monitor and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.


Oversee and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain facility functions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

50% Perform a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance as well as supporting the production lines, as requested, including, but not limited to: maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility; order chemicals, water treatment, maintenance supplies and parts for equipment; control and monitor compressed air and plant climate control; provide hardware or other items to production personnel as needed; and support other departments as necessary for smooth operations.

25% Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable facility responsibilities. Perform regular plant walk-through and evaluation in order to observe and document and damage to equipment, building structure, etc. Report findings to Department Manager or other appropriate management personnel.

10% Work with Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technician or others to effectively identify and address facilities or maintenance problems.

5% Arrange for and oversee, appropriate third-party contractor support, as needed including, but not limited to hiring out items to be fabricated.

5% Maintain a Facility Maintenance task list and publish the list for planning purposes.

5% Assist Maintenance Supervisor (and others) in planning for growth requirements for facility and equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required and two years of experience in the fields of carpentry, basic electricity, plumbing, HVAC, welding, rigging and metalworking.

Equivalent previous work experience directly related to this position is not a requirement but is highly desirable.

Must have reliable independent transportation as daily travel between multiple facilities is required.
