Position: FEMA Project Analyst
Northwest Talent Solutions LLC is working with an esteemed federal government contracting client in search for a highly- skilled Project Analyst. For this role, the successful hire will have solid skills within MS Excel and data analysis while also possessing a degree in one of the social sciences.
As a FEMA Project Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client in their disaster recovery efforts. You will be responsible for providing project management support and analysis for FEMA-funded projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis of FEMA policies, guidelines, and regulations to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate with project team members and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of project tasks
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and clients
- Prepare and submit required project reports and documentation to FEMA and other relevant agencies
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Stay up-to-date on FEMA policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a FEMA-funded project or disaster recovery environment
- Knowledge of FEMA policies, guidelines, and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
