Role You will Play

  • As the FileMaker Developer, you will be responsible for Custom App Development - building customized business applications from start to finish, both in FileMaker and native web applications.
  • You will work on legacy solutions to enhance and improve functionality, building in new features as well as working within a team of clients and co-workers to assist with the design and specification phase of a project.
  • The FileMaker developer will manage scope on clients’ projects, communicating with managers and key stakeholders about scope and budget while developing high caliber solutions, consistently commenting on code and documenting changes.
  • This role is entrusted to respond quickly to client needs, using troubleshooting skills to rapidly grasp problems and triage in order of priority thus successfully managing 3-6 client projects simultaneously.

Background profile

  • Solid foundation in FileMaker with at least 5 years of Claris FileMaker experience and a complete understanding of relational database structure.
  • Skilled in creating a fully functioning FileMaker Pro system from client specifications.
  • Working knowledge of bootstrap and tailwind CSS frameworks partnered with experience with JS frameworks like VueJS or React.
  • In-depth knowledge of web integration in FileMaker, fully fluent in JSON, 3rd party REST APIs, and integration of FileMaker databases with the web via the FileMaker Data API as well as a solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent at self-direction and managing time to adhere to client deadlines and within budgets.
  • A strong communicator with expertise in client engagement and discovery who can ask questions and follow up as needed.
