Fire Protection Engineer

Position Overview

Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with 1-5 years of experience in fire alarm and suppression systems for our Little Rock, Springdale, or Charlotte location. Candidates should have good communication skills, be well organized, and have the ability to work in a flexible environment. Familiarity in Revit and Bluebeam is preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to fulfill essential job functions, as listed below.

What to Expect

This position is best suited for an individual with the eagerness to learn and take on a wide array of projects from federal to educational under experienced designers and grow as an engineer with Cromwell.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Perform calculations and design fire alarm, fire suppression, and life safety systems
  • Prepare specifications based on design
  • Review shop drawings in relation to plans and specifications
  • Meet with owners and understand project requirements
  • Occasionally travel to project sites for surveys and meetings

Minimum Requirements

  • ABET accredited degree in engineering 
  • Entry level (1-5 years) experience
  • Completion of the FE exam [preferred]
