Job Description

As the Fleet and Equipment Electrification Manager at LandCare, you will be responsible for spearheading the transition to electric vehicles and equipment within our branches. Your role will involve assessing current assets and infrastructure, developing plans compliant with local regulations, and overseeing the execution of electrification projects. Additionally, you will serve as LandCare's representative in the field of electrification within the industry.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Branch Infrastructure

  • Conduct site visits to evaluate branch capabilities for vehicle and equipment charging.
  • Collaborate with subcontracted engineers and municipalities to develop plans and budgets for increasing electrical capacity.
  • Coordinate with municipalities and engineers to obtain necessary permits.
  • Manage subcontractors for power installation at branch locations.
  • Act as project manager for construction and installation projects at branch sites.

Fleet Electrification

  • Collaborate with the Director of Fleet, Fleet Managers, and branch managers to convert internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs).
  • Continually evaluate LandCare's EV strategy and pilot new options as EV technology evolves.
  • Monitor EV data using apps and dashboards to ensure vehicle selection meets branch needs and validate ROI.

Equipment Electrification

  • Work with the Director of Fleet, Fleet Managers, and branch managers to transition gas-powered handheld equipment and mowers to electric.
  • Stay updated on handheld equipment and mower technology to pilot new options and improve LandCare's strategy.
  • Stay informed about local regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Manage governmental incentives and rebate programs, facilitating the application process for LandCare.
