Role: Front-end Developer

Duration: 3 month contract to hire

Location: Calabasas, CA - on-site 4 days a week and 1 day remote

Job Description:

As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for building engaging web experiences using React.js and Next.js . You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to bring ideas to life, ensuring high performance, scalability, and great user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using React and Next.js.
Build reusable components and front-end libraries following best practices.
Implement SSR (Server-Side Rendering) and SSG (Static Site Generation) using Next.js.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to transform designs into functional code.
Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
Integrate APIs and backend services to support front-end functionality.
Write clean, maintainable code with attention to performance and browser compatibility.
Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience developing front-end applications with React.js.
Strong experience with Next.js including SSR/SSG and routing.
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern ES6+ features.
Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
Experience consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Familiar with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
Understanding of accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TypeScript in a production environment.
Familiarity with headless CMS systems (e.g., Contentful, Sanity).
Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
Experience with styled-components, Tailwind CSS, or other CSS-in-JS libraries.
Exposure to Vercel, Netlify, or cloud deployment platforms.
Understanding of SEO best practices in modern front-end development.
