Job Description

• Accurately read and interpret product drawings.
• Accurately use measuring equipment (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) and interpret results.
• Operate electrical calibration equipment.
• Work with line inspectors to resolve gaging problems when they occur.
• Work with Product/Manufacturing Engineering in the design and inspection of tooling used throughout the plant.
• Assist with the dimensional analysis of Returned Products, as required.
• Use both simple and complex precision instruments and equipment in the calibration of gages and equipment used in inspection.
• Responsible for the scheduling of the periodic contracted calibrations of various instruments.
• Perform diagnostic work and repair most of the instruments in his/her care.
• Verifies dimensional compliance of inserts in accordance with receiving inspection procedures.

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of quality control or inspection experience is preferred
• Must be able to work 2nd shift
• Experience with measurement tools (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) is preferred
• Must pass screening exam (math and reading comprehension) with a minimum overall score of 80%.
• Basic computer skills are required.
