Job Description

This position is responsible for preparing paper and electronic medical records for patient visits. Files, locates, retrieves, and delivers paper medical records as assigned. Organizes, sorts, verifies, indexes, imports, tracks, and disseminates for further processing incoming and outgoing patient medical information. Processes release of information inquiries.

To Perform This Job Successfully, An Individual Must Have

• a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree
• a minimum of three (3) years office experience,

It Is Preferred An Individual Have

• previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in an HIM department
• taken a medical terminology course
