Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role includes managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. * Seating Management: Monitor table availability and manage the waitlist to optimize seating efficiency. * Reservation Coordination: Take reservations over the phone or through online systems and manage booking schedules. * Communication: Coordinate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service. * Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally. * Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a tidy host stand, entrance area, and menus. * Safety & Compliance: Adhere to restaurant policies, including health and safety regulations. Qualifications & Skills: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure. * Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus. * Basic knowledge of reservation systems is beneficial. * Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift light objects. Schedule & Availability: * Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
