Job Description

Gaia Restaurant is an upscale dining destination in the heart of Herald Square, offering exceptional Mediterranean cuisine, an elegant atmosphere, and top-tier service. We’re looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Hostess and/or someone who can also train as Bartender and Waitress.

• Warmly greet guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations using our reservation system (e.g., OpenTable).
• Coordinate seating assignments for guests, ensuring smooth table turnover and flow.
• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and take reservations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the host stand and entrance area.
• Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Hostess/Bartender/Waitress or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented with excellent multitasking skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay : $20-25/hr for Hostess
Pay : $10 + Tips for Bartender/Waitress
