Host/ Hostess

Part-time

Normal shift is from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM: typically Thursday & Friday evenings

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. As a Host/Hostess you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. Additionally, you will seat guests as they arrive, handle walk-ins, help set tables and clear tablles.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Provide quality service to guests
• Assist in the setting, seating and clearing of tables.
• Efficiently communicate with the Attendant/Waitstaff and Attendant/Busperson regarding guest seating and needs
• Thank all guests for their patronage
• Follow health and safety rules 
• Ensure hostess area is kept in a clean and well maintained manner
• Maintain floor plan
• Handle guest concerns & inquiries
• Communication to Back of House concerning reservations totals
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Experience preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and independently
• A self-starter and team player
• Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
• Able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays

Physical Factors:

• Must be able to stand and walk for up to five (5) hours without sitting
• Be able to handle, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds of weight
