Title: Hot Heading Technician Lead (Harris County, TX)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead hot forging operations and manage team performance in a manufacturing environment. This role involves utilizing specialized machinery and heating techniques to produce precision-engineered fasteners for critical applications. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Interpret work instructions to determine tolerances and sequences for machine setup.
• Operate specialized machinery to forge components with precision and accuracy.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Adjust equipment settings and processes with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities using organizational tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze data and provide solutions to improve processes and resolve issues effectively.

Professional Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AS9100 principles awareness or certification
• Significant experience in a related field, including leadership in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Expertise in closed die forging techniques and equipment setups with complex dimensions.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and measurement conversions.
• Advanced knowledge of heat treatment processes and materials.
• Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and organizational procedures.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods; capable of climbing steps or ladders.
• Comfortable working at heights with appropriate safety equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Willingness to work in environments with temperature fluctuations, high heat, and exposure to loud noise.
• Tolerance for atmospheric conditions, including dust, fumes, and limited ventilation.
