Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the financial aspects and daily operations during the overnight shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organize the shift, and review and complete the following: remaining reservations, verify that all contingency reports have been run, audit and balance reports from day shifts, resolve discrepancies with departments out of balance, verify no-shows and complete a walk report (if necessary).
- Reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Answering phones, scheduling wake-up calls and taking reservations.
- Greet and process guest check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations and ensure accuracy in billing and accounting records. Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
- Respond to guest inquiries and address any issues that arise during the night. Communicate with next shift associates by logging pertinent information through hotel’s pass-along system.
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- Able to stand for long periods.
- Proficiency with reservation and accounting system.
- Friendly, helpful attitude toward guests and other staff members.
- Attention to detail.
