Description:

 RMF Engineering is seeking a Human Resource Specialist in our Baltimore, MD office. The Human Resources Specialist assists in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Division. The HR Specialist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, HRIS management, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and support multiple office locations. The Human Resources Specialist will support the HR team with daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs and open houses throughout various regions.
  • Develop relationships with local colleges and universities to drive intern and Co-op programs.
  • Participate in trade associations, networking and recruiting events.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system for recruitment tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, ensuring all required documentation has been completed correctly.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and provide support to employees regarding benefits questions and claims.
  • Coordinate HR events, training sessions, and team-building activities.
  • Support other HR initiatives and special projects as needed.

(Salary Range: $59,000 - $70,000 annually. RMF considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint for presentations
  • Ability to work overtime as needed during peak seasons
  • Strong Communication and written skills
  • Strong teamwork and work ethics
  • Must be able to pass a standard background check
  • Knowledge of Employment laws
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel and Word knowledge
