Position Overview

As an Instructional Coach, you will play a key role in shaping and developing microlearning content designed to support early childhood educators in their professional growth. You will focus on creating educational materials that cover a wide range of topics, including social-emotional development, family engagement, literacy, STEAM, supporting diverse learners, leadership, and other relevant themes within the field. Your work will help educators strengthen their practice and improve the learning experiences of young children. This role will involve aligning content with professional standards (i.e. NAEYC and CDA) and offering valuable insights to ensure the materials meet the needs of diverse educators. Depending on individual expertise, this role may be divided between multiple subject-matter experts.

This is a part-time, remote, contractor position with flexible hours. This is an ideal role for someone looking for someone looking to leverage their expertise in early childhood education and contribute to meaningful, impactful work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Development: Design and develop high-quality, engaging microlearning content that focuses on key early childhood education topics. Modules should be impactful, easy to understand, and can be applied in real classroom settings.
  • Align with Standards: Ensure that all materials are aligned with NAEYC and CDA professional standards as well as the latest research in the field.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other instructional coaches and subject-matter experts to maintain a cohesive and consistent learning experience and design.
  • Feedback & Evaluation: Collect and incorporate feedback from educators and stakeholders to continually improve content and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Passion for supporting educators and driving innovation in early childhood education.
  • 7+ years of experience in early childhood education, including 3+ years teaching experience.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas focused on early childhood years: social-emotional development, literacy, STEAM, family engagement, leadership, or supporting diverse learners.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing educational content, particularly for adult learners in a digital or virtual format.
  • Understanding of NAEYC, CDA standards, and other key frameworks in early childhood education.
  • Comfortable using technology tools for content creation, including Google Suite, video editing, LMS platforms, and other educational tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while managing time and priorities effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
