Description We are in search of a dedicated Inventory Manager to join our Manufacturing client in the Modesto market. As an Inventory Manager, you will focus on managing and optimizing our inventory processes. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with sales teams to establish and uphold a global forecast for material planning. - Implement transportation and delivery methods that are cost-effective for managing materials. - Regularly update and distribute reports related to production schedules, sales history, recycling, and open purchase orders. - Manage vendor relationships and negotiate freight costs, both domestically and internationally. - Maintain accurate data in our ERP/MRP systems, including standard costs, inventory levels, lead times, and more. - Conduct inventory audits to evaluate the effectiveness of material management and report the results on a monthly basis. - Utilize Microsoft Excel to track inventory and assist in inventory planning and reporting. - Address and rectify process issues to enhance inventory management. - Adjust purchase orders based on sales rates to prevent inventory surpluses or shortages. - Alert upper management about any issues that could impact order fulfillment. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role - Proven ability to track and manage inventory in a timely and efficient manner - Demonstrated expertise in inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages - Proficiency in inventory planning and reporting, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy - Proficiency in using Macola software for inventory management and related tasks is a plus - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets and use advanced formulas - Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed choices regarding inventory levels and procurement - Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make effective inventory decisions - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and suppliers.
