Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Optician eager to join a warm and welcoming optical boutique in Atlantic Canada? At Ocean Optometry, we're looking for a professional who shares our commitment to providing an exceptional eye care experience and a thoughtfully curated selection of beautiful, handcrafted eyewear to our valued clients.

About Us : Ocean Optometry is a place where genuine care meets the art of eye care. Our practice is a comfortable destination for those seeking quality, innovative optical solutions, and a personal touch. We offer comprehensive eye examinations and advanced treatments, including Myopia Control and Neurolens services. What truly makes us special is our collection of exquisite, handmade eyewear, sourced from independent artisans. We're proud to be the exclusive Atlantic Canadian home for these unique frames, and we even offer bespoke, custom-designed frames for a truly personal creation.

The Role : As a Licensed Optician, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring every patient feels understood and cared for. Your responsibilities will include:

Guiding patients through a personalized eyewear consultation, helping them discover frames that truly resonate with their style and needs from our exclusive collection.

Ensuring the perfect, comfortable fit and optimal function of high-end lenses and frames.

Providing expert, easy-to-understand advice on the latest lens technologies, materials, and premium coatings, always with the patient's best interest at heart.

Building strong, trusting relationships with our clients, making sure their needs are met and their experience is truly delightful.

Participating in the thoughtful curation and welcoming display of our unique eyewear collections.

Why Join Our Team? This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a supportive, high-end boutique environment, a refreshing alternative to the typical optical chain model. You'll be at the forefront of fashion and technology in the optical industry, collaborating with a team that cherishes craftsmanship, artistry, and exceptional patient relationships. We are a small, cohesive team where your expertise and empathetic approach will be deeply valued.

Qualifications:

Must be a Licensed Optician in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Opticians.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-end or boutique optical setting is preferred, with a focus on patient satisfaction.

A strong eye for aesthetics and a genuine passion for high-quality, handmade eyewear.

Exceptional communication skills, with a natural ability to build warm, trusting relationships with clients.

Highly detail-oriented, with a steadfast commitment to providing thoughtful and precise service.

How to Apply: If you are a motivated individual with a true appreciation for quality craftsmanship and a dedication to providing a truly elevated and caring patient experience, we invite you to connect with us.
