Job Description

We’re seeking a talented Lighting Designer with 8+ years of experience to join a collaborative MEP team delivering thoughtful, sustainable building systems across sectors like healthcare, higher education, and civic spaces. What You’ll Do

  • Lead lighting design on projects from conceptual development through construction documentation and administration
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and engineers to develop integrated lighting solutions
  • Create lighting layouts, specifications, and control systems documentation using tools like Revit, AGi32, and Bluebeam
  • Perform lighting calculations, daylighting analysis, and energy code compliance checks
  • Coordinate with vendors and stay current with emerging technologies, codes, and trends
  • Present design concepts internally and externally with clarity and confidence
  • Mentor junior staff and support team-wide growth in lighting knowledge and best practices

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of professional lighting design experience in the AEC industry
  • A degree in Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of lighting standards (IES, energy codes) and controls (DMX, DALI, 0-10V, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Revit and AGi32 or similar software
  • Experience across project types (institutional, healthcare, education, etc.)
  • LC, LEED, or WELL accreditation a plus
  • A creative, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
