Job Description

Summary/objective:

The Media Operations Program Manager at Angel Studios is the outcome owner of media project delivery from intake through archival. This role leads the structured execution of media and film content, ensuring every project moves through the pipeline with operational excellence, creative alignment, and on-time delivery.

The Program Manager serves as the primary operational interface between filmmakers, internal departments, and the Media Operations team—driving accountability, innovation, and delivery readiness across all active content. This is a high-ownership role requiring strategic leadership, strong execution, and the ability to build and improve systems at scale.

Expectations at Angel Studios:

  • Know your customer—it may be viewers, investors, creators, or fellow Angel team members. Understand their needs and deliver with excellence
  • Own the success of your team and partners—support hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, growth, and accountability
  • Create clear opportunities for ownership within your workflows and empower others to lead
  • Offer candid feedback compassionately and consistently, ensuring clarity and growth for those you lead
  • Actively move the Angel mission forward through your contributions and team engagement
  • When faced with roadblocks or setbacks, proactively seek creative solutions and drive toward resolution—not blame

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary operational partner to filmmakers and content creators, guiding them through Angel’s internal asset management and technical requirements
  • Develop and manage detailed project frameworks, production calendars, and asset tracking systems to support consistent, on-time delivery
  • Own cross-functional communication and execution across Media Operations, Content, Marketing, Legal, Product, and other departments
  • Facilitate regular delivery-focused meetings and risk reviews to remove blockers and ensure alignment across teams
  • Architect repeatable workflows and scalable approaches that allow Angel Studios to expand its content portfolio without compromising quality
  • Continuously assess and improve systems for efficiency, automation, and clarity across the Media Operations function
  • Maintain strong oversight on deliverable quality, ensuring all assets meet Angel’s technical, creative, and legal standards
  • Represent operational excellence across the company and serve as a strategic partner in launching world-class media
  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions

Competencies

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator with presence and clarity
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-stakes deliverables and timelines
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Smartsheet)
  • Deep understanding of media production pipelines, digital asset workflows, and delivery standards
  • Resourceful, solution-oriented, and able to operate confidently in ambiguity
  • Detail-driven, highly organized, and excellent at setting and tracking priorities
  • Fast learner who adapts to new systems and tools quickly
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment
  • Demonstrates Angel’s cultural principles, including high energy, shared context, and candor with positive intent
  • Participates in setting and achieving team and individual goals consistently
