Job Title: Molecular BiologistJob Description We are seeking a Molecular Biologist to join our dynamic team in support of product development in plant biotechnology. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of molecular biology, specifically DNA manipulations and automation experience. Responsibilities + Perform DNA preparations, digestions, ligations, electroporations, DNA transformations, and PCR. + Follow DNA cloning instructions under the guidance of lab personnel. + Design and troubleshoot alternative cloning approaches as needed. + Conduct high-throughput DNA cloning reactions with precision. + Learn and utilize automation programs to streamline workflows. + Troubleshoot automation errors with guidance. + Manage inventory and ordering of laboratory consumables. + Maintain the organization of workspaces. + Ensure compliance with safety and waste disposal protocols. + Represent the team in company-wide initiatives. + Provide laboratory support in compliance with ISO 9001 and safety standards. Essential Skills + BS in molecular biology with 1-3 years of experience or 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree. + Broad understanding of instrumentation and scientific principles related to molecular biology. + Ability to learn quickly and be coached in new techniques and processes. + Ability to assist in experimental design and participate in moderate to extensive problem-solving. + Work independently with minimal supervision while seeking guidance when necessary. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Candidates from non-plant biology backgrounds are encouraged to apply. + Ability to contribute to innovative solutions in plant biotechnology. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
