Job Description

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) who is available for the 2024/2025 school year.

• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - OT will be required to travel to different locations within the Greater San Francisco area
• Locations: Oakland, Pacifica
• IN-PERSON | Travel up to 25%
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• The contract follows the academic district calendar

Salary:

• $63-$81/hr. 
• $2,520.00 - $3,240.00/week based on 40 hours. 
• $1,000 Sign-on bonus
• Travel and Hotel expenses reimbursement.
• Weekly direct deposit every Friday.
• Benefits Available include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university, Master's Degree a plus.
• CA Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L).
• Great communication skills with parents, students, and team members.
• 1+ years of relevant experience; successful therapy experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different schools within the assigned district.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
