**Job Description:**

We are excited to invite a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Restaurant Bookkeeper to join our friendly team! If you have a strong background in accounting or bookkeeping, particularly in the restaurant industry, we would love to hear from you. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work either onsite in Riverhead or remotely, depending on your preference.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payroll promptly and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and manage inventory costs and expenses effectively.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Handle any additional bookkeeping tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Schedule:**

- Part-time hours with a flexible schedule.

**Compensation:**

- Competitive hourly rate based on experience, ranging from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
