Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Provides a supportive link between UCI customers both internal and external, facilitates communications by effectively navigating computer and phone systems, builds and maintains customer relationships while providing a positive, professional and empathetic understanding to all customers. Main duties include phone calls, computer data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports. Reviews lab requisitions and performs quality review and troubleshooting. Also performs specimen processing in Central processing area of the main lab if needed: main job includes computer data entry and transporting specimens in the different areas of the lab.

Required Qualifications: - One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
- Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in customer service
- Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software
