Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a state-operated hospital system across various Indiana locations. In this role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, managing pharmacy inventory, and maintaining strict regulatory compliance — all while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, fill, and deliver medications in accordance with physician orders and nursing requests
• Maintain inventory, manage orders, and process invoices
• Assist with pharmacy audits and ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations
• Restock medications in nursing units while ensuring security and accuracy
• Provide exceptional support to pharmacists, providers, and patients
• Perform administrative tasks to uphold regulatory standards and operational efficiency

Requirements

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED (required)
• Licensure: Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician registration and certification (required)
• Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting (preferred)
• Technical Skills:
• Medication preparation and distribution
• Inventory management and prescription processing
• Electronic adjudication of claims and pharmacy audits
• Record-keeping for controlled substances
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and customer service
• Collaborative team player with attention to detail
