Description SUMMARY
The Plant Manager manages plant operations in the most efficient manner to produce quality products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establish and direct organization to operate plant facility.
- Administer the recruitment and training of the plant organization line and staff.
- Develop and administer employee and community relations program to effect harmonious employee and public relations.
- Develop and administer operating budgets and standard for cost measurement.
- Develop and administer corporate programs such as cost reduction, capital expenditures, energy conservation, industrial hygiene, safety and housekeeping programs for plant operations.
- Responsible to maintain equipment, facilities, and company assets in good working order. Must manage adequate maintenance to ensure the manufacture of the company’s product line to internal standards and required specifications.
- Provide necessary customer service and foster effective customer relations.
- Perform special projects and other job-related duties as directed by the Vice President of Production.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervision is exercised over all Plant employees, both directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors. Works under Company policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis with limited supervision.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience documented and accepted by JM Eagle.
- Seven (7) years in a production environment, at least three (3) years in plastic pipe or extruding process manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience, people skills, ability to manage complex working environment.
Computer Skills Possess basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and schematics. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to identify trends and develop action plans to address issues.
