Job Overview:

  Responsible to creating press plates according to job specifications and established procedures using platemaking, testing, and computer equipment. Performs quality inspections of plates to ensure they meet specifications and identify any imperfections. Maintains production records according to the protocols required. Cleans processing equipment and maintains supply inventory. Complies with all company safety rules and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of color separation.
• Operate the CTP machine.
• Washing the plate and dryer after CTP is done.
• Maintain and save all color separation files in accordance with company policy.
• Analyze and provide feedback on design workability to customers.
• Ensuring quality and service are always first for the client.
• Ensuring client deliverables are met and communication is timely.
• Coordinates workflow with production schedule.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Adhere to all safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a secure and clean work area through general housekeeping.
• Work with and promote a teamwork environment.
• Work with limited supervision.
• Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards.
• Must be willing to fill in on off shift and overtime when required.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education and Experience:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Plate Making and Color Separations Design.

• Lift up to 25 lbs.
