The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, Department of BioMolecular Sciences is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Molecular Toxicology for a position that is available immediately.

The School of Pharmacy is ranked in the top twenty-five nationally for research funding, and is home to the National Center for Natural Products Research and the Center of Research Excellence in Natural Products Neuroscience.
The successful candidate will join an active NIH¬ funded research program coupling developmental and molecular toxicology. The overall goal of this project is to understand the persistent developmental deficits following cannabinoid exposure. Specifically, we will establish mechanistic relationships between altered gene and protein expression in the brain to altered neuroinflammation and behavior. The candidate will use zebrafish as the animal model to define for cannabinoid exposure: the most sensitive developmental exposure windows; and the dose- and sex-dependence of adverse outcomes.
A Ph.D. in Toxicology/Pharmacology or a related field is required by the time of the appointment. A strong research background with multiple quality publications is required. Candidates should have experience in transcriptomic analysis and conducting dose-dependent toxicity assays.
