Job Description

The Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to thepatient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the RadiationOncologist. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for helping in the efficientoperation of the radiation department and ensuring safe patient care. Minimum Requirements: + Associate's Degree, if required by stateregulations/licensing requirements + Current Licensure as a Radiation Therapist, as required bystate regulations or contract specification + One (1) year of experience as a Radiation Therapistpreferred + Current CPR if applicable + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age + Required Licenses, Registrations or Certifications: + Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technology. + Licensed by the Texas Medical Board in Medical Radiologic Technology + BLS certification through American Heart Association + Equipment used: + Varian + Siemens CT Scanners Shift: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p,call is required Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
