Job Description

Position Summary: The Relationship Banker will primarily focus on product sales and customer service, developing new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones. Responsibilities include providing expert product advice, transacting business accurately, and problem resolution per established procedures and regulations.

Position Levels:

  • Level 1 - Training: Focus on training and development with a mentor. Progress to Level 2 depends on successful completion of training.
  • Level 2 - Proficient: Works independently with general guidance on complex tasks. Demonstrates superior product knowledge and selling skills. Advancement to Level 3 upon recommendation of management.
  • Level 3 - Advanced: Demonstrates initiative and resolves problems independently. Serves as a mentor to Level 1 associates.
  • Level 4 - Management Track: Assumes a leadership role, planning and executing activities for the branch, covering manager’s responsibilities as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to branch sales goals using a consultative sales approach, identifying customer needs, and offering solutions.
  • Make outbound calls to generate sales and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Facilitate consumer loan applications and closings, working with centralized underwriting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, acknowledging and addressing customer complaints.
  • Open and process complex deposit accounts.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and support customer usage of bank services.
  • Participate in branch promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Comply with bank policy, laws, and regulations, including BSA/AML requirements.

Team Accountabilities:

  • Achieve branch sales goals and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
  • Maintain cooperation and rapport with associates for efficient operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Level 4 Only

  • May supervise associates, ensuring compliance training and adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. NMLS SAFE Act Registration needed.
  • Sales and customer service experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Cooperative work style and cordial customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and work under stress.
  • Familiarity with office equipment and personal computers.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and travel within the US.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay Range: $19.46 - $23.11 per hour
