OB/GYN Remote Phone Triage Nurse

Location: New York, NY 10065
Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually, plus great benefits including profit-sharing

Overview

We are seeking a professional and compassionate OB/GYN Remote Phone Triage Nurse to support a prestigious Maternal Fetal Medicine practice based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This full-time, remote position requires excellent communication skills, polished phone presence, and in-depth knowledge of high-risk OB and GYN. Candidates must be skilled with online systems, organized, and confident in working independently while providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to patient phone calls with professionalism and empathy.

  • Call prescriptions into pharmacies as required.

  • Ensure all outgoing lab test results are received in a timely fashion.

  • Screen incoming lab results and promptly report abnormal values to physicians.

  • Assess patient needs, including both physical and psychosocial aspects, and make appropriate nursing interventions.

  • Assist providers and staff in coordinating patient care.

  • Educate and counsel patients on procedures, medical care, and sensitive health issues; provide follow-up instructions and referrals as needed.

  • Participate as a member of the diabetic management team.

  • Perform injections and blood draws as needed.

Requirements

  • Current NY State RN license (NY residents only).

  • Minimum two years of experience in an OB/GYN setting; high-risk OB experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience working in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) unit is highly desirable.

  • Polished phone presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of OB/GYN nursing principles, medications, and treatments.

  • Proficiency with electronic health records and online clinical systems.

  • Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and professionalism.

 

Hours

Full-time position with regular daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
